Privacy Policy — TrackPro by MD Niamul

Last updated: September 2026

TrackPro (“the extension”) is a Chrome browser extension built and maintained by MD Niamul. This Privacy Policy explains what information TrackPro accesses, how it is used, and what it does not do.

1. Overview

TrackPro is a tracking and analytics debugging tool. It helps users detect installed tracking platforms (such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and advertising pixels), inspect a website’s Data Layer, monitor tracking events as they fire, test Google Tag Manager containers, and generate corresponding GTM configuration — all for websites the user chooses to inspect.

2. What Information TrackPro Accesses

To perform these functions, TrackPro may read the following information from the currently active webpage, only while the extension’s dashboard is open for that tab:

  • The page’s window.dataLayer contents
  • Cookies present on the page, read-only, used to identify which tracking platform set them
  • Network request metadata (such as which analytics or advertising beacons were sent, and their parameters), read-only
  • Page URL, page title, and DOM elements the user selects with the Inspector tool
  • The Tag/Pixel/Measurement IDs of tracking platforms detected on the page

3. What TrackPro Does Not Do

    • TrackPro does not transmit, sell, or share any of the information described above with any third party or external server.
    • TrackPro does not use collected information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to its stated single purpose of tracking and analytics debugging.
    • TrackPro does not use information to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
    • TrackPro does not modify, block, or redirect any network requests.
    • TrackPro does not access or store passwords, payment card numbers, health information, or personal communications (emails, messages, chats).
  • TrackPro does not track or store the user’s browsing history beyond the single tab actively being inspected in the extension’s own dashboard, and does not persist this data outside the user’s own local browser storage.

4. Where Information Is Stored

Any information TrackPro retains (such as scan results, an active GTM testing session, or user preferences) is stored locally in the user’s own browser using Chrome’s local storage API. This data is never transmitted off the user’s device. Uninstalling the extension removes this locally stored data.

5. Permissions Used

TrackPro requests browser permissions (including cookies, storage, activeTab, tabs, scripting, webRequest, webNavigation, system.display, and host permissions for all websites) solely to perform the on-page detection, inspection, and testing functions described above. These permissions are not used to collect data for any purpose beyond displaying it back to the user inside the extension’s own interface.

6. Remote Code

TrackPro’s “GTM Injector” feature, only when a user explicitly starts a test session, loads Google’s own official Google Tag Manager script directly from googletagmanager.com to test a container on a page. No other remote code is loaded by the extension.

7. Third-Party Services

TrackPro does not integrate with or send data to any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing service. Any tracking platforms TrackPro detects (such as Google Analytics or Meta Pixel) belong to the website being inspected, not to TrackPro itself, and TrackPro does not interact with those platforms’ own servers.

8. Children’s Privacy

TrackPro is a professional developer and marketing tool not directed at children, and is not knowingly used to collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in the extension’s functionality. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
