Catch Missing Attributes, Bad Prices and Invalid GTINs Before Your Products Are Disapproved
Paste a feed link or drop in the file, and this free product feed checker reads every product and tests it against the published Google Merchant Center product data specification and Meta catalog required fields. It finds missing attributes, invalid GTINs, price and availability errors, duplicate IDs and weak titles, then lists exactly which products to fix.
Enter the link to your feed, or drop in the XML, CSV or TSV file. Up to 5,000 products are checked.
A feed link is sent to our server, which downloads the file once. We keep a simple log of the address checked and the result. No personal details are saved unless you ask for the report by email. An uploaded or pasted file is read in your browser and is not uploaded.

A product feed is a file that lists your products with their details: ID, title, description, price, availability, image and more. Google Merchant Center uses it for Shopping ads and free listings. Meta uses it for the catalog behind Advantage+ catalog ads and shops. If the feed has errors, products are disapproved or shown less often, and the ad budget goes to fewer products.
g: namespace. This is what most store apps export.15.00 USD. A currency symbol or a comma as the decimal point is an error.in_stock, out_of_stock, preorder and backorder. The score is the share of products with no problems. A product that has warnings but no problems counts as half. A problem is something the published rules reject, such as a missing price. A warning is something that limits performance or applies only in some countries, such as a missing brand or apparel size.
The checker reads the feed file, not your Merchant Center or Commerce Manager account. It cannot see product disapprovals, policy issues, price or stock mismatches between the feed and the landing page, or image quality and size. It does not know which countries you sell in, so country-specific rules are shown as warnings. One free check covers the first 5,000 products. The rules follow the specifications Google and Meta had published when this tool was written, and both change over time, so confirm anything important on their current help pages.

Google Merchant XML feeds (RSS 2.0 or Atom with the g: namespace) and TSV or CSV files with a header row. Most Shopify, WooCommerce and feed app exports are one of these.
A file you drop in or paste is read in your browser and is not uploaded. A feed link is downloaded once by our server so the tool can read it. The feed itself is not stored; we keep a simple log of the feed address and a summary of the result. If you ask for the report by email, only the Excel report is sent.
No. It reads the feed file only. It cannot see disapprovals, policy issues, landing-page price mismatches or image quality. Use it to catch data errors before or alongside Merchant Center.
A GTIN has 8, 12, 13 or 14 digits and the last one is a check digit worked out from the others using the GS1 method. The tool recalculates it. It also flags placeholders and the restricted and coupon ranges Google does not accept.
Usually yes. Meta accepts Google-style feeds. The Meta Catalog tab shows the gaps. The most common one is condition, which Google only needs for used or refurbished products but Meta lists as required.
Google requires brand for most new products, but not for films, books and music, and not for products marked identifier_exists no. The tool cannot always tell which case applies, so it warns you instead.
Google requires color, size, gender and age_group for clothing and shoes in Brazil, France, Germany, Japan, the UK and the US. The tool checks them when the category suggests apparel.
The first 5,000 are checked and the report says so. Errors usually repeat across a feed, so the first 5,000 show the patterns to fix.
