Build Campaign Links That GA4 Reads Correctly, the First Time
Paste your landing page, pick where the link will be used and this free UTM builder creates a clean campaign URL. It has presets with dynamic parameters for Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft and Pinterest, shows which GA4 default channel the link will fall into, warns about common mistakes and exports a whole list to Excel or CSV.
Fill in the fields. Your link, its GA4 channel and any warnings update as you type.
More than joining text with ampersands.
One click sets the right source and medium for Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Pinterest, email and more.
Uses each ad platform’s own placeholders so campaign and ad names fill in by themselves.
Shows the default channel group GA4 will assign, before you publish the link.
Flags capital letters, missing parameters, a platform name in the medium, and links GA4 would mark Unassigned.
Warns if a value looks like an email address, which must never go in a URL.
Paste a list of ad names and get one link for each.
Download your list with a naming guide for your team.
Supports utm_id, utm_source_platform, utm_creative_format and utm_marketing_tactic.
Three steps. Nothing you type is sent anywhere.
The address visitors should arrive on.
A preset fills in source and medium. Add a campaign name, and content if you run several ads.
Copy it, or add it to your list and export everything.
UTM parameters are short tags added to the end of a link. When someone clicks the link, Google Analytics reads the tags and records where the visit came from. Without them, a lot of paid and email traffic shows up as “Direct” or “Unassigned”, and you cannot tell which campaign earned the sale.
google, facebook or newsletter.cpc, paid_social or email.GA4 sorts every visit into a default channel group such as Paid Search, Paid Social or Email, using rules based on source and medium. A paid medium has to match a pattern such as cpc, ppc or anything starting with paid. If you invent your own medium, for example fb_ads, GA4 files the traffic under Unassigned. This builder applies Google’s published rules and shows the channel before you publish. Its lists of search, social, video and shopping sites cover the common ones, not Google’s full list.
Ad platforms can fill in values for you. In Meta, {{campaign.name}} becomes the real campaign name when the ad is shown. That means one link works for every ad, and names never go out of date. The presets use each platform’s own placeholders.
Facebook and facebook as different sources.Values that land in the right GA4 channel.

A normal link with tags on the end, such as utm_source and utm_medium, that tell Google Analytics where a visitor came from.
utm_source and utm_medium are needed for GA4 to classify the visit. utm_campaign is strongly recommended. utm_content and utm_term are optional.
The source and medium did not match any of GA4’s default channel rules. It usually means a custom medium such as fb_ads. Use a standard medium such as cpc, paid_social or email. This builder warns you before that happens.
Keep auto-tagging switched on, which adds a gclid and gives GA4 the most detail. Add UTMs only if another tool, such as a CRM, needs them.
Placeholders that the ad platform replaces with real values, such as the campaign or ad name, when the ad is shown. One link then works for every ad.
Yes. GA4 is case-sensitive, so mixed case splits one source into several rows.
No. A UTM on an internal link starts a new session and replaces the real traffic source with your own tag.
It applies Google’s published default channel rules. Its lists of search, social, video and shopping sites cover the common ones rather than Google’s full list, so an unusual source may differ.
