Research a Competitor or Audit Your Own Store in Seconds
Enter any store address and this free Shopify store checker confirms whether it runs on Shopify, then shows its theme, the apps visible on the storefront, product count, price range and newest products, collections, tracking and marketing tools and mobile speed. Download the full product list as an Excel file.
Enter a store’s homepage. It works for your own store and for competitors.
The address you enter is sent to our server, which reads the store’s public pages and product feed, and to Google PageSpeed Insights for the speed test. We keep a simple log of the address checked and the result. No personal details are saved unless you ask for the report by email.

A Shopify store checker, also called a Shopify theme detector or Shopify app detector, tells you what a Shopify store is built with. Every Shopify storefront publishes the name of its theme in the page code and loads its apps as scripts, so both can be read from outside.
This tool goes further than a theme name. Most Shopify stores also publish a product feed, which lets the checker summarise the catalogue: how many products, at what prices, from which vendors, and what launched most recently.
The theme, apps and products are read directly from the store, so they are real. Three limits apply. Only apps that load something on the storefront can be seen. The product feed returns up to 250 products per request, so very large catalogues are sampled from the newest. And some stores switch the feed off, in which case the tool says so.
Sales, revenue, orders, traffic and conversion rate are private. Tools that claim to show a store’s revenue are estimating. This checker reports only what the store itself publishes.
Public storefront data versus private store data.
| Information | Visible from outside? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Theme name and version | Yes | Published in the page code |

| Products and prices | Usually | Through the public product feed |
| Collections | Usually | Through the public collections feed |
| Stock per variant | In or out of stock only | Exact quantities are private |
| Sales and revenue | No | Private |
| Traffic and conversion rate | No | Private |
