WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Something Else? See the Platform and the Proof in Seconds
Enter any website address and this free CMS checker tells you what it is built with: the CMS or website builder, theme, page builder, plugins, ecommerce platform, JavaScript framework, server, CDN and marketing tools. Every result shows the evidence it was detected from, in a live dashboard with an Excel report to download or receive by email.
Enter any website. In a few seconds you will see its CMS or platform, theme, page builder, plugins and the rest of its technology stack.
The address you enter is sent to our server, which loads the page once to read its public code and headers. We keep a simple log of the address checked and the result. No personal details are saved unless you ask for the report by email.

A CMS (content management system) is the software a website is built on, such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix or Webflow. A CMS checker, also called a CMS detector or “what CMS is this site using” tool, identifies that software from the outside.
This free CMS checker goes further than the platform name. It also shows the theme, page builder, visible plugins, ecommerce system, JavaScript frameworks, marketing tags, server and CDN: a full website technology checker without installing a browser extension.
Every platform leaves fingerprints. WordPress loads files from /wp-content/. Shopify uses cdn.shopify.com and sets a Shopify.theme object. Webflow adds data-wf-site attributes. Servers send headers such as x-shopify-stage or x-wix-request-id. The tool looks for these signals and only reports a platform as confirmed when the evidence is strong. The evidence is listed next to every result so you can check it yourself.
It reads one page as a visitor would. Plugins that only work in the admin area, server-side tools, and tags loaded through Google Tag Manager leave no trace in the page source, so they are not listed. Some sites deliberately hide their platform, and some custom-built sites use no CMS at all. In those cases the tool says “No known CMS detected” instead of guessing.
And what each one tells you about a website.

A CMS checker, or CMS detector, identifies the content management system or website builder a site runs on, such as WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace or Webflow, by reading the public fingerprints each platform leaves in a page.
A platform is only reported as confirmed when strong evidence is found, such as WordPress file paths, a Shopify CDN and theme object, or a platform-specific response header. The evidence is shown beside every result. If a site hides its platform or is custom built, the tool says “No known CMS detected” instead of guessing.
It recognises 34 CMS, ecommerce, website-builder and funnel platforms, including WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Wix, Squarespace, Webflow, Magento, BigCommerce, Joomla, Drupal, Ghost, HubSpot CMS, Framer, GoHighLevel, ClickFunnels and Kajabi, and 198 technologies in total.
Yes. It shows the theme folder, a child theme when there is one, and every plugin that loads files on the page you checked, with readable names. Plugins that only run in the admin area leave no trace and cannot be seen by any outside tool.
Yes. For Shopify stores it shows the theme name, the base theme and version when published, the store’s myshopify.com address, the currency and the app extensions loaded on the page.
No. Extensions such as Wappalyzer run inside your browser. This tool runs on a web page, so it works on any device, including phones, and gives you a report you can download or share.
The site may be custom built, use a headless setup, block automated requests or deliberately remove platform fingerprints. Check the Technology Stack tab: frameworks such as Next.js or Laravel are often shown even when there is no CMS.
Tools loaded through Google Tag Manager are not in the page source, so they do not appear here. Use the Free Tracking Audit Tool to see every tag inside a GTM container.
Yes. The tool loads a page once, like any visitor, and reads only public information that the website sends to every browser.
